On the weekend of October 12-14, close to 4500 people took part in EarthShare North Carolina’s 6th annual Campout! Carolina.

Campout! Carolina is an annual event that encourages people turn off the lights, unplug from the computer, and enjoy a night under the stars.  On this weekend people across the state campout in backyards, campsites and favorite backwoods spots to celebrate and show their support for a healthy environment.

Our friends at REI and Shakori Hills donated great prizes and all registered campers were included in the drawings.  Congratulations to David from Raleigh, who won the REI Kingdom 6 Tent and Clinton from Mooresville, who won a pair of tickets to the Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance!
